I found my blown fuse. It is an in-line fuse for the constant +12v wire and the fuse is located under the shifter console, right next to the illumination in-line fuse. The constant 12v fuse is only 0.5 amp, and I think the red 12v line (key on voltage) is 1.5 amps. Probably the factory radio only used the constant line for the clock and memory, but this radio uses it to operate the radio when the car is off (and maybe when the car is on). I was going to put a bigger fuse in the line, but I can't find in the literature from Crutchfield or the radio manual that lists the fuse requirements. I might call one of them. But for now I'll try grounding the rear post and using another 0.5 amp fuse. At least now I don't have to pull the radio anymore
