Lots of info in the archives about voltage regulator replacement. On my car it was a pretty simple project. After getting a new one, I disconnected the neg battery cable, removed the 2 screws holding the old v/r in the back of the alternator, carefully pulled it out and slowly inserted the new one. Had to put a charge on the battery to get things back to normal, though. Would suggest purchasing 2 so you can carry a spare in the glove box next to your extra fuses.
