Well, the tranny problem may be coming back:
1) One occurance: starting from a stop, at less than 2-3 miles per hour, Leise had to apply the brakes suddenly for a car that ran the red light in front of us. Her foot was not on the gas, but the car surged very slightly forward twice while the brakes were applied, with a clunk each time!
2) Occasionally, while accelerating normally and with the trans shifting through the gear ranges normally, she has had to suddenly apply the gas firmly to avoid traffic situations. On several occasions the car has made a "engine roaring" sound and the tach needle climbs rapidly, but acceleration doesn't change!
MB did the repairs a while back, and said it would need to be driven 800 miles to relearn her driving habits, but it goes back in Tuesday. Any ideas? Please?
