In the kibble world, you won't find better food than Flint River Ranch. They use human grade ingredients, it's baked to preserve nutrients, and none of the common ingredients that can be harmful to dogs are included.

At first glance, it appears quite expensive - by weight, it certainly is. However, you need to feed your dog less FRR than other dog foods that have tons of fillers, and fewer nutrients. It's not exactly a wash - FRR is still more expensive than most per feeding, but it's not a huge premium when you take into account the smaller portions required. Also, there's a very real advantage to feeding your dogs smaller portions, of healthier food - the quantity of crap in your yard will noticeably shrink.

Here's a link to the manufacturer - damn ugly Flash-only web site, but plenty of info. Here's a link to one of their distributors that specifies the ingredients, that's a little easier on the eyes.

FRR has a huge distributor network...it's a bit like Amway/Amsoil in that regard. Everything gets shipped direct from the factory or regional distribution centers, so it doesn't matter who you order through. I use this distributor, as they're a few pennies cheaper, and have auto-scheduling options. 80lbs shows up at my door like clockwork every 6 weeks.
