Well, curiosity got the best of me so I disassembled one of my CIS E FD's and found the screens. I had been told the early US cars had screens but apparently my source had it backwards.

Right now I'm looking for my dig. camera to snap a few pics.

The screens came out after I dissembled the two halves and various other shims/pistons/springs/ etc, etc..

Not sure why you were having trouble w/ the link...your the first who has said they needed to log in..
