On one of my 190E 2.3's, I was driving along one day when the oil pressure went from 3 to 0 in the blink of an eye. I whipped over to the curb and shut the engine off.
What I didn't notice was that the other gauges were also not functioning, and I'd simply blown a fuse.
While waiting for the tow truck, I turned the key to "on" to listen to the radio and charge my phone. I noticed the fuel gage also dead, and quickly fixed the problem.
I just about had a freakin' heart attack though!!
