Well, I reset the original brake stop switch and everything works okay. I went to the dealership and purchased a new brake stop switch ($15.00) and installed it just to be sure.

Greetings SLK..... I to have had this problem and so far the changing of the switch has not corrected it. I was wondering where did you get instructions on installation and if By installing the switch wrong would it cause internal damage to the switch
