I don't know what part of Calif. you live in, but mileage depends on a lot of variables. I live in the hills near LA, a lot of traffic signals and hills. Driving conservatively, I got around 17mpg in town and 23-27 on the road. Undoubtably
be worse if I used it as a hotrod.
I really liked my '94 wagon and was loath to part with it, but traded up to my daughter's '99 wagon and just as satisfied.
If you can handle an average of 20 mpg and would like a wagon, go for it.
