Nailing refers to the noise that is made when the injector isn't spraying fuel like it should. No need for new nozzles (maybe) try the italian tuneup. The sound of nailing is scary,,, sounds like a connecting rod slapping around inside. Happened to me while a couple times while burning WVO,,, drove the car harder,,, problem went away,,, don't you just love Mercedes?
