Ok you kinda got the idea. Only problem is the headunits in some of the W124 were seperate amp/headunit/tuner.

Do you want to run subwoofers or a new set of speakers? The amp for the radio is usually in the trunk. I know thats where it was in my 1993 400E, but I cannot verify that on the CE.

If you want to run subs, and the stock HU, run your hi-lo converter off the speakers in the rear shelf. You should see the wires if you stick you head in the trunk, and look up at the speakers.

If you wanna run speakers off this, then you have to run the convertor off the amp.
