I could temper that Jones a little bit. The last day we paddled out in a snowstorm!
That's got to be one of the best flatwater canoe trips in the US. There are a lot of Anasazi ruins there and great hikes although we were one day too short to do a lot of hiking. There's no road at the confluence so you either paddle upstream 50 miles or get jetboated up the Colorado to Moab, which is what we did. ($155 per person) A person could continue on downstream to Lake Powell, but one must pass thru Cataract Canyon. That's no place for the kinds of boats we were using.
