TD is for the wagon. The T means Touring. That is why you will see people put TDT for a wagon also to indicate it's a turbo. The SD sedans (w116 and w126) were turboed before the w123.

How bad is the flairing between 2-3? I have to replace the K-1 spring in my tranny. Adjusting the bowden cable has helped a bit though.

My car was made in Oct 81 and classed as an '82.
