I marked the harmonic balancer before I removed it; however, I did not mark the crank pulley. As I begin to reinstall the harmonic balancer, I notice that after I cleaned the crank pulley that it had a small square piece of metal weld to it.

Does the crank pulley need to be align a certain way according to the harmonic balancer. Because I did not mark it.

Do I need to worry about the crank pulley as long as it align up with the screw holes?
