You either broke the line the goes to the ignition (not in the area of the ALDA) or you snapped the plastic line that returns from the ignition and connects to the injection pump. I don't know where it connects but somebody here does.

I've broken the line that goes to the ignition and it caused the symptom you describe, I just trimmed it back a little bit and added a new section of vacuum line to re-connect the lines. Take a look a little closer and see if you can do that. If you don't have some already, go to the auto store and grab some flexible vacuum line material. They usually sell it in a roll, I always keep some extra in my glovebox for those little emergencies.
