i recently purchased a 1988 300ce euro spec and there a many things wrong. one of my main problems is the 4000-4500 "rev limit" when i purchased the car under the front seat there was a bad fuel pump reley burnt up.. and one of the 2 fuses in the overload relay was blown.. the fuel pump relay was replaced but with a different model stock number (original 002 545 52 05 new one 003 545 20 05) im going to the junk yard to get one with the same stock number. also with the second fuse in the overload relay the car idles at 2500 rpms but with it out it idles fine but still has the same rpm cut off.

the shift problem is my biggest problem right now especially driving on european highways around 110-120 kph. when it trys to shift into the final gear and then there is the max speed of 150 kph...
any help would be great
