On the other hand...
Flipping the seat cushion up and folding the seat back down gives us 6' storage length and removing the seat cushion adds 6" all with a flat floor. How many SUV's have this cargo space?

PS Only other "current" cars were the Ford Taurus / Mercury Sable and Volvo 90 wagons.
