is your shifter acting up?

if so it may respond to new plastic bushings in the shifter or to new bushings on the shift rods under the floor board.

the benz shifters are pretty good operating if all the bushes are in good shape and it is lubricated properly.

the length of the shift rods can also be adjusted to move the shift pattern further away from the dash if it is too far forward too.

my son in law has a 74 porsche which has a short shift kit on it. this kit makes the shifter baulky in my opinion and i have tried to convince my SIL to get rid of it but he likes the idea of it. it makes the tranny try to select two gears at once. i am afraid he is headed for a very expensive repair bill because of the shifter operation.
