In Tank Fuel Strainer? Do I have one?

Is there on an 87 SDL?

I had a very dirty batch of fuel in my tank which I pumped out, but I've still got a problem, dirt, air... If there is a filter how do I get it out?.. I see the fuel line attaches to the bottom of the tank and I can take off the fitting with a wrench, but the strainer would have to be a lot smaller than I expect to be on the other side of it.

Thanks for the help,
Bill
