I haven't been following the eBay auctions, but looks like you got one helluva good deal -- even if you allow for no hard top and allowing for some things to be wrong that the seller didn't disclose.

I don't particularly like driving my SL500 (1999). With the top down there is too much cowl shake and too much vibration through the steering.
