This is what I do since being unemployed.
Sitting meditation (or Zazen) is actually quite physical. If you are doing it correctly, it can help with flexibility, posture and some core strength. Not any kind of martial art or wicked work out mind you, but sitting full lotus (like this gal at our Zen center) or even how I sit, like our abbot here, can be a challenge for 45 mins. Gets easier the more you do it however, and throwing in yoga classes helps as well.
