Hey,

The manufacturers make what the people want to buy. That's it. The "general consensus" is favorable toward the SUV. Even when the national average exceeds $3.00 per gallon, people do not care. Even if they can't afford it. They will still purchase these oversized guzzlers, even if there's no logic in it.

I wish there were 90% less trucks on the road. I drive a car, I can't see around these behemoths through their heavily tinted rear glass or side glass. I can't see anything when I try to back out of the parking space when there are two vehicles surrounding my car with heights greater than 72 inches. Outrageous.

AIA, I blame the people. They do not really care, else there would certainly be larger spreads and action regarding the issue. The oil companies are taking advantage of the greedy American consumer and reaping large profits while consumers blame the stations. They get away with it because we let them.
