yeah, sorry but that is ridiculous that anyone who claims to be a mechanic said that. It is pretty unbelievable how confused some folks who even work at MB specific shops can be, let alone everyone else. There is nothing on an m117 or m119 that looks even remotely like a supercharger....not even a remotely mounted centrifugal s/c. You should go back at hit them over the head with a copy of the shop manual.
