It was fast in it's day, but there are a lot of cars on the market now that could smoke an old Camaro.
The 427 Yenko ran 0-60 in mid-low 5 sec range, and 1/4 in the mid 13's. Old muscle cars simply can't keep up with new technology.
My idea would to buy a sleeper, like a late 60's Caddy. Build the 472, add some nitrous and keep the body totally stock. When I was in the Cad Club, a few guys built 600-700 hp beasts that would run 1/4 miles in the high 11's. Now that would surprise Biff in his Beeeeemer.
