Designo_E320,
I have used the CRC MAF Sensor Cleaner, and it works. My 'story' was I contaminated the MAF sensor when I replaced the twin air filters. Residual dirt/dust got on the sensor from the filter change and when I reasoned out what must have happened, while looking for electrical contact cleaner at AutoZone, right next to it was the new MAF Sensor Cleaner. If you follow the instructions on the can, this stuff works and will leave no residue.
Note: I did not disconnect the neg side of the battery prior to pulling the sensor as the article talked about. Just used t-20 Torx Tamper Resistant bit to undo the sensor and spray.
