I too live in an apartment but right after I change the oil I seal up the container well, wipe it clean, and take it to the nearby Autozone (open 24 hours) and dump it in there. If it's closed, I just go back and leave it in the garage, somewhere hidden, even if the manager doesn't mind (quite lenient, her husband also works on his toys, so it works both ways).
