On 87 190E 2.3 8V.... It has 2 vision.. just depends on VIN.

Early one - single row timing chain, later one- double rows timing chain

I also got 87 MB 190E 2.3 8V for $2800 about 4 years ago. Since i owned until today.

Need replace center muffler and rear muffler immediately after i bought.

Within first year, I replaced A/C dryer, A/C Evaporator, A/C pressure switch and A/C relay to fix up whole A/C system... Hopefully, not leak feron anymore.

Then, like mostly normal wear items: Fan Belt Tensioner, belt shocks, front and rear shocks, Fan Belt, Fan Clutch, Wires Set, spark plugs, Cap, Rotor, strut mounts, all 8 rear links (rear wheel), front flex discs, idler arm bushing, steering damper, ball joints, front sway bar bushings, Timing Chain, Valve stem seals, all rubber breather hoses, fuel pressure regular, idle control valve, OVP, radiator cap, heater valve

Last month, heater core gone (spent totally 13 hours to replace)

Today!!! just replaced 4 rear subframe mounts ( right front one broken).

If you really like that car and enjoy DIY. It is excellent car.

I like 190E style so much. That why i spent almost $4000 dollars (parts and labour) within 4 years.
