Question on Idle 260E 1988

Hi everybody,

I would like to know if the air necessary to the engine at idle is going only through Idle control valve or though throttle body?

Is throttle flap completely closed at idle? or slighty open to allow some air to go to engine?

Engine is M103 on 260E 1988 euro

Thanks for your help
I like to know how things work
