How is the hand primer in this 1976 300D Attached.

Yes remove the rubber hose that goes from the tank to the steel fuel line. If the strainer is not plugged the fuel will run out in a full steady stream. If it only drips or comes out slowly, the strainer is plugged. Usual cause of this is Fungus in the tank.
