Could be a fuse.....have you checked?
Also, do you get any climate control ever? Is it sporadic or is it just not working. Does the fan come on? Can you hear the compressor kick in?
May want to call Ken at Benz Store and get a new push-button control unit to rule out any gremlins in the soldering on the boards. They are about $135 plus core charge.
