Well, my concern is that the wire may be a bit stretched, and thus may have different specs than it should. My best bet, as near as I can tell, will be to stick to a 29 - 29.5 ohm per foot wire. It should get me close enough. Fuel gauges aren't exactly meant to be precise.

The original wire is about a 37 AWG, but as long as resistance stays as close to original as possible, diameter won't matter too much.
