So what could be left of the transmission, or the rest of the driveline, if you buy a car used out there? Aside from the straight out abuse of it all, there's the dust/sand issues, out there.
I mean, they must do this all the time, so these vehicles must take a serious beating, for a while, until they finally wreck them.
Anyone wanna buy a 2007 Mitsubishi Mirage? It's only got 3500 foreward miles on it, and about the same going sideways, backwards, and upside-down. I checked the brakes, tires, and exhaust, the last time I had it on its roof, and all seem to be still there, for the moment. Just put in a new sun-roof, and had it repainted. (The sun wreaks havoc on paint out here) Come out and test drive it today. I'm on Cleopatra, having lunch at the Y.
