I've been driving MB diesels for 22 years, and I can tell you that the number one cause for having a motor blow is a bad oil cooler hose. When that happens, a otherwise nice car turns into a $300 hunk of metal and glass, because the cost to rebuild a motor right is around 5k.

Super glue and silicone is not going to hold back a high volume of oil at over 45psi.
