Age is not a factor that I even consider when debating any issue.
My 16 yo son can run circles around people when it comes to discussing WWII aircraft. When he was barely 10 years old I took him to an airshow where he corrected a man who was talking about radial engines used in WWII.
The man was a docent at a warbird museum and was a pilot himself.
So age is not an issue.
Where age makes a difference is not on the issue of knowledge, but on the issue of perspective. Having gone around the track for more than one lap gives me a different, and deeper perspective. It is the long view of things.
