Welcome to MB diesel world. A shake at idle is most likely engine mounts. Not an overly expensive problem, but messy an a challenge. Could also be vale adjustment, an air leak in the fuel system, or about a dozen other things. Sounds like the idle may be low anyway. I;m sure someone will pipe up with the spec for idle for you.
