The timing cannot be changed on this & newer 190E 2.3's. The engine was designed to run at high temps(100 c.), are you having some type of overheating problem?
The fuel mixture is controlled by a computer & has a base setting, after that the oxygen sensor takes over & sends signals to the computer for mixture control except at full throttle.
