My dad worked for Union Oil his whole working career, and Red Wing were the only boots that Union Oil (aka Unocal) would pay for.

I have two pairs of Red Wings: a black leather shoe with a crepe wedge sole, and a pair of dark brown boots.

They are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn.

Another good thing about Red Wings is that they will oil your boots for free for life. You just drop them off at the Red Wing shoe store, and few days later they're done.
