Try using some of that G.T.P. additive in the car. The stuff is amazing. They guarantee you to pass emissions with it, or supposedly, they pay for either your re-test, or repairs, or something like that.
G.T.P. by the way means Guaranteed To Pass...I've used it, and the stuff really worked well on my 87 F-150 with no Cats, or Oxygen sensors at all, and a mildly modified 302 in it. The truck failed by a long shot the first time through, so I dumped some of that into it, did nothing else, and ran it back through. I passed with flying colors the second time around, and only a few hours after the first time through. The guy at the Emissions station was kinda dumb-founded, to see it, and asked me what I did. I didn't know what to say, so I told him I had advanced the timing, and he smirked, and gave me my paperwork. Every auto parts store, and even Walmart stocks the stuff...Oe can in the tank, and drive it around a while, and run it through the test..
