Sorry guys,
I think that the HDs are a better choice. I have a prominent dip in my street. The E420 with the Std Bilsteins bottoms out when I drive about 25 mph over the dip. Not so with my 87 300E. I have not noticed any difference in cornering, just the response to dips.
