I have the same issue with my car (92 300E). There is a knock coming from directly in front of the driver side dash when the wheel is turned in either direction (moving or otherwise.) I recall somebody mentioning a serviceable bushing in the steering mechanism but I can't remember specifics. Does anybody know anything more about this bushing? Thanks.
