My '83 is different than yours. Won't comment on whether that's a good thing or not.
I have disabled the EGR, same place, had black box on cam cover, the one line went to a 4 way connector, now a 3 way, to top of VCV. Other 3 way, now a straight hook up, to lower side of VCV. Did the same thing on the CD.
