The topic is now about all religions and their ills since you singled out Hinduism as an evil cult, and while you are at it, why not declare your faith either or are you truly ashamed of it and hiding it.
Women are used as sex objects in west in every form, thats mistreatment as well, need I remind you what the Islamic world does with women, social ills are everywhere, don't' link it with faith and insult others sentiments, thats the bigoted part of you and your upbringing.

About Indian women, you certainly have no idea, the educated, upper middle and upper class women as well as middle class enjoy and wield far more power than you would get elsewhere, we had a woman prime minster, today, a foreign woman who is not even a Hindu is at the top of the country's politics and there is no opposition to it, more Indian women go for higher studies than elsewhere, raise your hood and read. Please don't read jaundiced Christian sponsored hate filled propaganda and then spread it across. Years back, women were allowed to select their own partners as well as keep more than one husbands as in Mahabharata's Draupadi. About Shiva's Linga, Hinduism celebrates sex and doesn't hide it, you will see it openly depicted in temples, unlike others who believe in repressing it leading to all sorts of perversions as we can see in the news.
