yes if not broken they can be cleaned and fixed to work fine, the link in the DIY section is good, sometimes its just all the gunk that gets in the way of working. If you do it yourself pay very close attention to the orientation of all the parts and lever angles, (take a picture) because if she does not go back together the same way you end up in a mess ( ask me how I know)
