Although a different engine, I'm wondering if this is similar to a problem I had years ago (mine is non-ASR 94 e320)...

Since then I haven't had any further problems...I've since replaced the throttle actuator and electronic module (EA/CC/ISC???) under the passenger floor. I'll have to check my records, but I don't think I can pinpoint a single repair that solved this problem...
