Its not that difficult. Just did this on a 79 SD W116. Pulled all the regulators, cleaned and greased. Shimed the worm gear bushing on the RF motor, straightened the LR regulator. Found the RR motor MISSING! No wonder it didn't work.
I could use a good '0 130 821 016' motor. Common with the W123 I believe.
