Dave, where'd you get the R12? I'm just asking because if you bought it over-the-counter, it wasn't R12 - it was probably an R134 blend. If you went to a small shop and had them charge it, it probably isn't R12 either. It's probably an R134 blend. If it wasn't a LOT more expensive than R134, it probably is not R12.
In any case, I'm sure it's cooling. And maybe that's all you care about. But I'd make absolutely sure that it IS, in fact, R12 if that's what you want.
