My wife was driving my daughter some where and they were at or close to the speed limit on a road with two lanes in each direction when a guy in a van comes across from her right side right in front of her out of nowhere. She hit the brakes hard and turned to the right to miss him as he passed (no other cars around) and said they missed by less than 12 inches. She came to a stop and looked over and a cop looked at her, saw she and our daughter were ok and then he went after the guy with all lights and sirens going. One of those times when you usually say where is a cop when you need him but this time he saw the entire thing.I hope that guy gets nailed for a lot of $$.
My wife said if the brakes weren't so good she would have hit him for sure.
This was about two week ago.
