Depends on your location, I guess.
You can't coast to a stop when somebody in front of you jams the brakes. You have to keep a certain distance, otherwise another car from some commercial residence will shoot out in front of you and slowly accelerate up to 10 mph below the posted limit.
If people could drive properly, we could conserve. Try to conserve around here in urban New England, and you'll be run off the road and left for dead.
I get probably 30K out of fronts and 50K out of rears. Rotors last for up to 100K miles.
