The old one failed in moving the seat in one direction, and also for the back rest. I verified ( by powering the motors manually) that the motors and flex cables, etc, were all operational ( in other words, powering the right motor produced the correct action), so the problem was narrowed down to the switch... Removed the switch, and in trying to 'look inside', for potentially dirty contancts, etc, it fell apart, with little ball bearings and spring flying ALL OVER the place :-) So now I am switchless.

So you have the newer switch? Did you have to do anything to make it work? Does the trim fit?
