So you have the newer switch? Did you have to do anything to make it work? Does the trim fit?

I bought a used newer style switch from someone and just plugged it in and it works fine BUT a common problem is also broken wires at the door hinge area and I have had to splice in new sections for some of the seat functions to work.

Take a look at this, it may help in the future. Range Rover and MB used the same switch

One of my doors had the soldered in switch and I bought a base kit that was easy to install so now both doors have plug in switches.
