OK, thanks for the replies.

Another question: What kind of gasket sealer should I use in sealing the upper oil sump (the big one) to the engine block? I tried using an aviation gasket sealer, but when I removed the oil sump I noticed that it really did not seal well around the block - just around the very edges. There is no gasket for this connection, so I'm a little confused.
